Since childhood, I have been excited by missions and ministry work. I went on my first missions trip in fifth grade, and by my senior year of high school, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to full time ministry work. I felt called to be a Bible translator to an unreached tribe. After a year of training, God lead me in another direction. Later that year, I helped lead a children's Bible club. A local video editor used some amateur video footage we had taped to create a compelling media presentation of our ministry. It was then that I realized that video was a powerful tool for ministry. In 2000, I began studying video production. I met Steve in film school, and we were married shortly after graduation. I see now that God has gifted us to do His work together as mission filmmakers. I can't wait to watch the Lord work in and through us as we follow His call. We believe that visual media is one of the most dynamic ways to challenge, motivate, and inspire others to follow God. As filmmakers, we want to communicate our passion for the gospel in everything we create. As a husband-wife team, God has uniquely gifted us with complementary creative talent and professional training to fulfill His call together. We praise God for the love He has given us for each other, and the incredible opportunity to spend our lives together serving Him. The year was 2000. I sat staring at a list of college majors thinking that not one looked interesting. I finally decided on "Cinema & Video Production" because it offered the most opportunities for creativity. The first year of college was difficult, but I found myself thoroughly enjoying my cinema classes. As I continued through the major, I became increasingly certain that God had led me to my niche. I relished the freedom to innovate, solve problems, and tell stories. In the midst of my sophomore year, Jenny and I became close friends. We developed a deep attachment as we worked on assignments together, and by my senior year we were engaged. We married upon graduation. We have spent the past three years working in the wedding video industry, ministering at Cornerstone Fellowship Bible Church, and being happily married. Over the course of my life, God has gently directed me to full time service for Him. My chief desire is to use the skills God has given me to share Him with the world. |
